WIENER SYMPHONIKER
We collaborated with Verena Panholzer from Studio Es in Austria to create 3-dimensional sculptures that were used as key visuals for the Corporate Identity relaunch of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.The generative sculptures try to visualize classical music in an elegant and mesmerizing way. The artworks feature contrasts between large shapes and intricate details. 3-dimensional shapes transition into almost graphical looking areas. Some shape features are very prominent whereas other shape areas are submerged in shadows. Themes like the anatomy of string instruments like the violin scroll, strings, staves, clefs and musical notes served as visual inspiration.
The branding work was done by Verena Panholzer, who used the artworks in the Orchestra's visual branding for online and print media including posters, tickets, season schedules and CDs.
